2 strips to cut for blister prevention - Urgo
Thanks to their hydrocolloid composition, each URGO Blister Prevention strip prevents the formation of painful blisters. Economical and practical, these two cut-to-size hydrocolloid strips adapt to all areas prone to friction and therefore blisters (finger, toe, heel, etc.). Extra-thin and transparent, they ensure complete discretion while guaranteeing optimal protection.
Instructions for use:
1. Clean and dry the skin . Ensure that the area of friction is free of lesions, wounds, and redness.
2. Cut the strip to the desired size using a clean, dry pair of scissors.
3. Warm the resulting dressing between your hands to make it more conformable.
4. Remove the first protective flap , being careful not to touch the adhesive part of the dressing.
5. Apply the bandage centered on the area of friction , avoiding creases.
6. Remove the second layer of protection by carefully smoothing and pressing the edges of the dressing to increase adhesion.
Change the dressing according to the instructions, on average once a day , or when it starts to wrinkle. You can remove the dressing as soon as you finish your activities. The dressing should not remain in place for more than 2 to 3 days , after which it should be removed if it has not come off on its own.
Precautions for use:
- The product should be applied by an adult for children under 16 years of age.
- Make sure to position the bandage correctly on the area of friction: risk of irritation, blister
- Single use only, do not reposition a dressing once applied, do not reuse the same dressing (risk of poor hygiene and lack of adhesion).
- Do not apply to damaged skin, an already formed blister or a wound.
- Diabetic patients are advised to use hydrocolloid dressings only under medical or nursing supervision.
- Hydrocolloid dressing that forms a white gel with secretions or perspiration.
- In case of sticky hydrocolloid residue on the skin, soaking in water is recommended: the adhesive will swell, lose its stickiness and detach.
- Do not use the dressings for more than 30 consecutive days.
- Keep in the original box and store flat.
- Do not use after the expiry date (indicated on the box)
- Cardboard box to be disposed of with recycling. Dressings and wings to be disposed of with household waste.
